Case Study: Kyle Charvat Foundation - Event Registration

Project Summary
The Kyle Charvat Foundation, a Seattle foundation that provides financial help to young people suffering from life-threatening illnesses for treatments not covered by health insurance needed an easy to manage, yet robust event registration application for their web site.

The foundation holds an annual Golf fundraising event and needed the website to allow people to register and pay for the event with different options. Point B Web quickly provided a solution, not just for this year's fund rasing event, but PBW CMS allows them to easily setup new fundraising events throughout the year.

Building on the Custom CMS platform we implemented for The Kyle Charvat Foundation (KCF) over a year ago, we spec'd out a solution that integrates seamlessly and provides the KCF administrator with the following capabilities:

- Create new events
- Specify unique registration types per event - each with it's own price or donation level
- Customize the label for the price to suit the registration type (i.e. Donation, Cost, Price, etc.)
- Include a custom text input field to collect information like "Team Name","Company Name", etc.
- View and Edit Registrant details
- Register individuals manually
- Export the list of Registrants

On the front end, the Event Registration module:

- Displays Event Details
- Provides links to Registration form for each registration type
- Has a Dynamic Registration form
- Allows for a Registration Type with unspecified (fill in the amount) price / donation
- Sends the registrant to Google Checkout to collect the payment

This Event Registration Module is now available to our other CMS clients and can be further customized as needed.
